Food (3.7/5.0)
Service (3.9/5.0)

I went to Nebo on a group discount coupon with a friend after work so I was starving! Although we were there past rush hour, parking was predictably hellish in the North end. The food was mostly good; calamari was served piping hot and crispy, lamb skewers were tender (although a little too wet) and the prosciutto e fichi pizza was rustic and warming. However, I was rather disappointed in the handmade gnocchi which was too hard and was too gummy. It was also too bland even with the delicious sausage that accompanied it. Service-wise, our waiter was not as attentive as I'd liked as I had to clamor for attention to get a refill of water. I thought that it was pretty funny (and I'm not trying to be snarky) when he tried explaining what the italian words meant to me, when I could have read it on the menu. Thoughtfully, Nebo also offers a gluten-free menu for Celiac patients.

The discount coupon I had made my meal affordable, but otherwise, prices were a tad on the high side.

calamari fritti • golden crisp calamari, mediterranean aioli- perfectly battered, just tender enough. The aioli was a good pairing.
arrosticini • grilled new zealand baby lamb skewers, rosemary, evoo-A little too wet and not salted well enough.
autunale bruschette• prosciutto di parma, homemade fig spread, mascarpone. Thin and crusty, served right out of the oven.
ricotta gnocchi • homemade sweet sausage, broccoli rabe, pecorino romano. Could you tell? It was pretty stiff too. Otherwise, sausage was delicious.
