Food (3.8/5.0 stars)
Service (4.0/5.0 stars)-I felt that the server was a little too pushy with the wine, but otherwise she was attentive and pleasant.
Some of you might know of Boston's Restaurant week in which participating restaurants offer a 3-course prix fixe menu for $33 (not including tax+tip). Well, in a series of RW round-up's I'll share what I ate this time around. Because of my procrastination, I couldn't find the exact menu but will try my best to recall what I had. Overall, I like Erbaluce, but the best course for me was the poached pear dessert with lavendar-caramel. Everyone at my table ordered it and we were scraping away at our plates even after the pear was gone. I might have to make a trip back or make my own.

(Veal terrine with thyme and pickled vegetables-Don't eat beef, so my friends will have to give an opinion on this. I did, however, try the pickled vegetables and it was really good!)
(Celery root soup with smoked button mushrooms and sage-It was nice and flavorful but forgettable.)
(Red wine braised beef with a fruit mostarda-My friends loved this!)
(Tuscan-style fish stew with tomatoes and tarragon. This was my entree and the stew was hearty and delicious. I didn't have the usual greaseball feeling of being bloated after my meal. Very nice indeed.)
(Spice poached pear with a lavender caramel sauce and mascarpone-BREAKOUT STAR of the night. Tender pear and the caramel sauce is to die for!)
(Budino of native apples and almond puree with a cardamom anglaise sauce. To treat ourselves, B and I shared an additional dessert and got the Budino cake. Overall, we thought that that was average. Not bad, but nothing to rave about either.)
